Dr. Havins specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Cardiology. His experience and knowledge in these areas has allowed him the ability to treat different health needs, and he's excited to be able to do this with our patients!

He is an East Texas native who grew up on a small town farm. He realized early that hard work and diligence is of utmost importance for success. He is a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine. He performed a great deal of his medical training in Brooklyn, New York before completing an Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He then completed his Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Albert Einstein in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During training, he won the prestigious Gold Doc award for his compassionate, humanistic care.

He moved to Waco from his prior practice in Clear Lake, Texas. He sought a more family oriented lifestyle away from the hustle and bustle of the city. He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, and his adoring children. He also enjoys football, weight lifting, and outdoor activities.
